The simple answer to this question is yes, hats are definitely a must have for this seasons autumn/ winter wardrobe. Hats come in all shapes and sizes, from berets to trilbies, and cloches to caps, and all of them are in fashion at the moment.

Designer Hats

Many designers have produced beautiful hats. For example, Gucci designs wide-brimmed fedoras. Wearing such an item is sure to add a touch of seventies glamour to your outfit. For a forties feel, try Marc Jacobs. Here you will find chin-strapped pillbox caps. If you are after sixties, then it has got to be a beret designed by Burberry.

Hats on the Catwalk

On this season’s catwalk, you can see John Rocha models displaying large hats, giving a slight appearance that they might just fall over from the weight! Lanvin’s models were wearing low hanging black sheriff hats that practically covered their eyes.

Hats in your Wardrobe

If you want to work a hat into your own wardrobe, then the best thing to do is buy a knitted beanie from Missoni. A beanie is chic, but does not compromise practicality.

Leggings can look tarty and trashy, so this guide will give a few different ideas about which are the best ways to wear them. They should not be worn as if they were trousers. Instead, team them with a dress or a long top, such as a tunic. Add a belt for some extra glamour. Upper clothing should always cover the bottom.

Black leggings are the only way to go. Grey can sometimes work, depending on the rest of the outfit, but steer clear of other colours unless going to a fancy dress party. The shoes worn with leggings are very important as they will make or break the look. Avoid trainers at all costs, as this will look as if the wearer is in a fitness class. Also, steer clear of high heels and flip flops. Ballet pumps and flats work well though.

Black leggings can look especially good with a black and white or grey long top or dress teamed with flat knee high boots. This look makes for a very stylish outfit and still is feminine, as well as warm and cosy in the winter months. The leggings should match the colour of another item worn, as this will coordinate well and make for a really fashionable look.

A top is better off being baggy, as if it is too tight then the whole outfit will also look tight. It needs to be proportioned properly, so your body shape is balanced. Younger women can get away with leggings whilst wearing a mini skirt, such as denim. This creates a very simple and casual look.

There’s nothing more frustrating than having full pockets. The good news for men is that the man bag is swiftly coming in vogue with the new Brighterman and Mulberry autumn/winter collections. Once a taboo, in recent years men have been coming to realise the benefits of using a man bag. Not only is it far more convenient than using your pockets, but it also allows you to have much greater control over the trousers you wear. This is especially true if you prefer skinny jeans, as they don’t tend to have a lot of pocket room, and there is nothing more unsightly than bulging pockets.

Holdall Bags

Probably the most popular form of man bag at the moment. The holdall bag is designed to be a very lightweight bag that can be used as either a general luggage bag or to simply carry around common necessities, such as a wallet, phone and keys.

Most holdall bags come in a neutral colour such as black or brown. This makes them very versatile when it comes to matching your man bag with an outfit. Holdalls have been used with a variety of different looks, from business suits to the alternative rocker look.

Canvas Bags

These bags are arguably not as classy as the standard holdall bag, and don’t have as long of a life expectancy. However, they can be a great way to complete your look if you don’t want to spend a lot of money or if you are looking for something a bit less formal.

Canvas bags come in a large variety of styles and can be worn with any outfit. If you prefer to wear bright colours then the canvas bag can offer a much wider selection than the holdall, you aren’t bound to mainly black and brown.

Believe it or not, the man bag can be seen as a badge of masculinity. They can be a great way to compliment other pieces of leather, such as shoes and jackets and are quickly becoming a favourite amongst businessmen and people that work in a position of power.

Man Bags

Accessories make an outfit and are sadly very often overlooked. With just the simple addition of an accessory you can add character to an entire outfit.

Popular Accessories For Men

The most important fashion accessory for a man has to be his wallet. Even though 90% of the time it can’t be seen, you should always take it into consideration. There are hundreds of different styles of wallet to suit any style and it’s recommended that you choose a colour of wallet to match your shoes.

Necklaces, bracelets and watches can also be another great edition. Leather necklaces and bracelets are currently on the rise, as are colourful, plastic watches. Even just adding a belt or some cuff-links can improve your overall look and make you stand out amongst others.

Continuity is a very important aspect of wearing metal accessories. It’s recommended by fashion experts that you don’t use too much of a contrast when dealing with metal, such as gold and silver. This can be very obvious, and if you are wearing neutral colours, can ruin the entire style of your outfit.

For the fashion conscious, here is an update on what hats you should be wearing this winter, as autumn berets give way to the more serious woollen hats of the winter season. Here are the top hat trends that you should be considering this season.

Hats off to Style

Very popular this year are Russian-style hats with turned down ears, despite the fact that the trend was initially part of the men’s fashion line. These fluffy fur hats are also seen with embroidered folk patterns and make a great combination when worn with other accessories containing folk embroidery. Mink and dyed fox-fur Lower hats are another great way to show off this winter. Team these hats with oversized scarves to create an overall chic look. Another winter trend is to pair simple tunics with stocking caps.

When it comes to style, nothing beats the wide-brimmed hat. Worn with loose-fitting blouses and double-breasted jackets, they create the perfect retro-look. An alternative is to team wide-brimmed hats with pencil skirts, fur and high boots. If the menswear trend suits you, try a Fedora hat to complete the look – there are a variety of styles and finishes to this versatile hat.

While fur hats have always been popular, a growing trend this season is faux fur. From trapper hats to tiny dainty styles, the faux fur hat trend is fast catching on. Beat the winter blues with this season’s stunning range and show some attitude as well.

One of the latest offerings from Timex is the Weekender range of watches. This is a very economical, trendy watch range that starts at £24. It has many of the same features that men have grown to love about this brand over the years, but is more affordable. If you wish to buy a less-expensive timepiece, this range of watches is worth your consideration. The style of these watches is best-described as ‘sophisticated casual’.

The woven nylon strap is very comfortable, and you have several colour choices available. If you wish, you can change the strap easily for a new look. In addition to nylon straps, leather and slip-through straps are also available. This easily increases the number of occasions that you can wear the watch for.

The watch dials and faces come in an assortment of styles. Some of them feature larger numbers for easier reading. One of the best features of this watch is that it has a nightlight with INDIGLO technology. Some models also have hands that are luminescent. If you ever need to tell the time in a dark setting, you will have no problem reading this watch.

Several of the watches in the Weekender range are specifically designed as sports watches. They have larger cases that can easily withstand more rigorous activity. These models use leather straps that are water resistant. All of the watches in the Weekender product line are water-resistant up to a depth of 30 metres. If you wear your watch while engaging in water sports, this is a very important feature.

Men who want a unique look often turn to vintage-style clothing. These classic styles tend to become popular again every few years. Many stylish men like to wear vintage-style clothing, regardless of what current trends may be. Vintage clothing is very versatile, and always looks good.

The vintage look has long been popular because it features clothing from different eras. Since this is typically clothing that is quite different from more modern styles and trends, men often choose it for some variety in their wardrobe. The difference between vintage and vintage-style clothing is when it was made. True vintage clothing refers to articles made between 1920 and 1980. Vintage-style clothing is being manufactured currently, but is made to look like these older pieces.

Many men choose to wear true vintage clothing as a form of recycling and reducing waste. By buying gently-used vintage clothing, you are helping to keep these clothes from being disposed of. Many vintage articles of clothing are still in very good condition, and can be worn for a long time after you buy them.

There are several types of vintage-style clothing that are commonly worn. Several vest styles that were popular during the 1950s and 1960s are frequently worn by vintage clothing enthusiasts. They make a lovely addition to an outfit, especially when you are wearing a suit. Vintage-style suits are also a favourite, and you can easily make a good impression during any gathering when wearing one.

It seems the weather has made a turn for the worst in the past couple of days and summer is well and truly over, so now is the time to start thinking about stocking up for your winter wardrobe essentials.
T-shirts are still necessary over the winter months, they can be used to add an extra layer when it’s cold, worn under a shirt for a night out or under a cardigan or jumper.

Bright colours that keep the wearer cool are the main aims of women’s summer fashion. Dresses are in and jeans are out. This is the time for women to experiment with lots of new styles.

Go for natural fabrics and light shades to help you stay cool during those hot days. Clothing that fits loosely is best, so dresses are an ideal option for summer. Vibrant colours will put you in a good mood and make you feel feminine and chic.

Tunic tops make great beachwear for women who want to cover up a bit. You can choose from a variety of colours and patterns to look fashionable.

Accessorise any summer outfit with a bit of simple jewellery or a hat and belt. This will make you stand out and will give the outfit a complete look. A cool pair of sunglasses is perfect for protecting your eyes from the sun in a fashionable and sophisticated way. Do not go overboard on the accessories, as less is more. You can add accessories that bring touches of colour and depth to a plain outfit, or opt for simple designs if you are already wearing bright clothing.

If you are worried about getting cold whilst wearing a dress, especially for parties or dinners in the evening when it is much cooler, then top your dress off with a shrug or bolero. If your dress is bright or patterned, a simple white, black or grey cardigan will blend well.
