Not everybody can afford the latest designer labels, so for those people the High Street offers a cost-effective alternative. There are many different clothes shops to be found there that will suit all budgets and which offer quality clothes and accessories.
Primark has become one of the leading names in budget fashion. The clothes are not made to last, but are cheap enough so that even those on a low budget can shop regularly for something new. The shop makes the effort to keep up with the latest trends and often offers their own version of designer label items.
Topshop is a popular store and is frequented by many celebrities. Supermodel Kate Moss has her own range of clothing available in Topshop. The clothes on offer are a mix of casual and smart, with some vintage-inspired ranges.
Zara is a shop suited to those who prefer a designer look, but who do not have the bank balance to go with it. It is ideal for those who need a smarter look for work clothes and going out.
New Look is another budget high street store that is ideal for wardrobe basics such as jeans and t-shirts. They also offer a good range of shoes, bags and accessories that are reasonably priced.
TK Maxx is a Mecca for bargain hunters. They offer branded goods at reasonable prices, though shoppers have to be prepared to hunt for them. Stock changes every day, so most serious clothes shoppers should be able to find something they like there.

Shopping Centres are the best places to shop as everything is under one roof, so even if the weather is bad outside then you can be nice and warm inside.
Victoria Centre Shopping Centre in Harrogate is great, as there is a multi story car park near the train station, but don’t worry as there is a full walkway over the train line which is covered and heated so you can stay warm and dry in the bad weather.
The car park will approximately hold 1500 cars in the multi story car park. Saturdays can be slightly manic trying to find a space, but our top tip is to drive straight to the top floor as there is usually plenty of spaces up there.
Victoria Centre Shopping Centre covers all aspects of shopping from ladies fashion with shops such as H&M, Interacionale, La Senza and New Look which all have the latest fashions at the lowest prices.
Mobile Phones are even covered with 2 stores Phones 4U and the 3 Store, the only issue with these is that they are on the outer part of the building so you will need to venture outside.
Food & Drink are covered well, but lacking any fast food restraints does let the Victoria Centre Shopping Centre down slightly. Drinks are covered with Starbucks and Caffe Latino, food can be covered by The Cornish Bakery and Thomas’s.
