Men’s fashion essential – The suit

June 6th, 2010

Any self respecting stylish man will have at least one suit in his wardrobe, if not many especially if you have to wear one every day for work, but even if you don’t have a suit for your uniform it’s an essential piece of designer menswear that you need. Suits are often forgotten about unless worn on a daily basis, you find you probably will wear one more than you think from functions and parties to weddings, christenings and funerals.

There are many possibilities with suits, more than most people think, with colour, style and fit meaning you can mix and match a lot especially for office wear. When it comes to formal events such as weddings and funerals, keeping it simple is best either black or navy with a crisp white shirt and black tie never fails and never ever goes out of style.

You also need to make sure your suit fits properly, your suit should hug your shoulders, be comfortable across the chest so it’s not baggy but not tight so you can breathe properly, you need to make sure your sleeves are the correct length too, showing ¾ to an inch of your shirt cuff and finally appropriate trouser length that skims your shoes.

If your suit fits properly and the style suits you, you will find that you will be much more comfortable, especially if you don’t often wear a suit.
