Once upon a time the most people could do with their cherish family photo’s was to put it in a frame and stick it on the wall or on the mantel piece, but now families are spending huge amounts turning these humble photographs in not only works of art for their walls but also on clothes using t shirt printing, key rings, mugs and celebration cakes.

Each year roughly £45million is spent on people making art and other things from their photos this is thought to be down to the increased quality of digital cameras. Many people are now able to take high quality pictures which were once only for those with expensive cameras and a dark room who could make wall art from their pictures.

Supermarkets have picked up on this trend by offering ranges of canvas products, with prices starting at as little as £20. Phil Causer, a photo manager at Tesco, said: ‘Once upon a time a picture would have been placed in a simple frame, but more people are now mounting beautiful photographs on canvas and putting them prominently in sitting rooms or hallways. Technology has moved on so much that the quality is excellent and it’s a great way of showcasing your most treasured memories.’

However there are still many places online where you can get your pictures printed onto various items like www.splashlogo.co.uk, who offer a wide range of clothing, bags, hats mugs and many, many more, for a whole world of possibility.
